P-P day 5

Today’s control was at a driving test centre in the blazing sun. We were in charge of the test finish and the umbrella shade was erected to give us some protection from the heat.

The competitors found following the route round the cones surprisingly difficult and only 9 of the 95 completed the test correctly.

It’s still very hot here and maybe tomorrow will give us a break.

No sign today but the worlds biggest traffic cone.

About James Ewing

Cars are my passion in my business and private life. I run James Ewing Limited - International Brokers of Collectors Cars and I also have a successful restoration business. I navigate on classic rallies in the UK and europe and in my time have competed in many types of motorsport. At home we have an interesting collection of micro/mini cars, a 1958 Renault 4cv, 1962 Fiat 600d Multipla and a 1967 Subaru 360. All in all I spend most of my time 'dickingaroundwitholdcars'

Well James, hope your enjoying yourself dicking around. I have just took early retirement. Sold my Rolls Royce Silver Shadow II a couple of years ago and now regret it. But maybe I will now finish off the 1980 Mini that I have in the garage. The engine in it was originally Mike Dodge’s then Vince Chapman. Now reworked to 1380 cc.

Having a blast dickingaroundwitholdcars traveling the world rallying and being paid for it!
