Classic Marathon day 6

The last full day started at the picturesque San Marino and headed north-west through some fantastic scenery. The roads as narrow as ever but getting progressively busier as we head north. There are less fiat 500s and more Audis and BMWs now, perhaps a demonstration of the North/South divide in wealth?image15image26The eight regularities today are getting progressively more challenging as expected, but we are relishing the challenge by still getting a few ‘zeros’ but unfortunately losing time on the steep and twisty bits.

The day’s competition finished at Maranello (Ferraris home) and a visit to the museum. Whilst interesting its not over impressive, but I’m sure its very exciting if you are an 8 year old boy. Some nice older cars, interestingly mostly UK registered, and lots of modern plastic junk.

The hotel in Brescia looks amazing but inside its typically Italian in its competency.

Last day tomorrow and some tricks to deal with on the road I’m sure……
