The final day.

Dawn chorus in Digne les Bains taken from our penthouse suite!

Slightly thick headed we leave early to find the start on the other side of Digne.
Through the maze of one way streets we final made the first control with time to swap stories of the night loop.
Most crews had a torrid time apart from the gifted few who incredibly managed a virtually penalty free night!
A glorious days rallying over some of the worlds best roads. It’s hard to believe its the end of November with clear blue sky’s and the temperature at over 20deg C. I have never seen so many hairpins and steep drops in such a short time, simply amazing.
The finish came at the famous Col de Turini with soup and a buffet lunch followed by a sensible drive to the hotel Hermitage in Monaco. Tonight’s gala dinner should be fun.

Volvos at the finish.

I may be sitting here in Brazil, waiting for the Grand Prix weekend, but Digne, col de Turini and Monaco sound just as good. Sounds a great event – fog excepted! Bon retour
