Night section and last day

Post night section bar atmosphere.

Happy finishers.

No time for pictures on a very icy night section. It went very well with no errors to speak of. We went to all the controls but not necessarily at the right time! However our efforts were rewarded with the fourth best car of the evening.
The last day had two regularities and an icy test on an airfield. All went well till we met an errant Irish crew in a BMW going the wrong way on the last regularity of the event. Evasive action was taken and we ended up in a ditch. A kindly local pulled us out with his 4×4
after a failed attempt from the Irish Volvo crew. No damage was done to the car but time penalties were incurred. How significant this will be will have to wait for the official results.
A simple run to the final control at Grandhotel Pupp finished the event for us and a Gala dinner is now eagerly anticipated.
